Our Team
Headwaters Native Plants is a nursery program of Appalachian Headwaters, specializing in providing local ecotype native plants and offering education to support habitat restoration and ecological resilience. All of our plants are grown from seed that is responsibly and sustainably collected from Central Appalachia, ensuring our plants will be adapted to local conditions.
Appalachian Headwaters offers contract growing services for public and private restoration projects across Central and Southern Appalachia. Our experienced team is dedicated to providing high-quality, local ecotype plant material at competitive prices. We specialize in a variety of stock, including PL72, CP32, DP50, band pots, 1 and 2-gallon pots, and bareroot plants for wholesale projects.

Our Team
Native Plant Program Director
Bella is the Native Plant Program Director at Appalachian Headwaters. She holds BAs in Environmental Studies and Spanish from Ursinus College. At Appalachian Headwaters, she leads efforts to engage the community in native plants through educational greenhouse and garden workshops, botanical tours, and providing locally collected, seed grown native plants for restoration projects. Propagator and Conservation Specialist
Emma is a propagator and conservation specialist at Appalachian Headwaters. She earned her BS in Biology from Delaware Valley University. Passionate about native plants and birdwatching, Emma thrives on cultivating native species and supporting healthy ecosystems through hands-on propagation work. David is a propagator and native plant specialist at Appalachian Headwaters with a BS in Plant Science from Penn State University. He is dedicated to recreating vibrant wildlife habitats, finding deep satisfaction in seeing wildflower gardens alive with pollinators.
